Park Top CCC open for business for the 2024 season!

After a very wet winter and early spring we are at last opening the pitches for the 2024 season.

We cant wait to welcome all our new and repeat customers to the glorious Yorkshire Dales.

The sun is shining and the lambs are gamboling so give us a ring and book your pitch for this Spring and Summer.   As we are only a small site we get booked up pretty quickly.

Welcome to 2022

It was lovely to reopen the site in 2021 and we had a really busy season welcoming old friends and new acquaintances to Park Top.

We open our 2022 Season from the 1st April and look forward to another busy year – don’t forget to book early if you are thinking of coming during peak times .

Lets all keep our fingers crossed for some fabulous weather this year, but whatever the conditions the views will still be stunning!

Happy New Year and Looking Forward to the 2018 Season

We had a lovely year in 2017, welcoming old and new friends to the site, with some lovely weather in between the showers!

2018 is set to be another great year and we will be re-opening on the 26th March, ready for the Easter Weekend with Good Friday on the 30th.

The Tour de Yorkshire starts in Richmond on Saturday May 5th 2018, which is just 4 miles from the site, so get booked up now to make sure that you reserve your place.

New Blog!

Starting a blog is a little daunting but we would love to keep you up to date on  life at Park Top Farm & the Caravan and Camping Site!

Summer3Summer is here and we have had some lovely weather and we have now planted up the site with some colourful geraniums which are definitely brightening things up.

Pink BalesOn the way to the site from Richmond, you may spot some pink bales in the field!  These are silage bales which are used to feed the cattle and sheep in the winter – some lucky campers where here in June when we gathered in the grass to make the bales and the weather was beautiful.  The reason they are pink is to support the breast cancer now campaign by giving a donation with the pink wrap.  It’s a really visible way to both raise awareness and funds for this cause and we think its a great idea.

StrawThings are a little quieter at the moment for Ken, having led in the last of the barley straw which will be used to keep the cattle comfy in the winter months.

Its a lovely time of year here, with all the stock out in the fields enjoying the long days of summer and that goes for us as well.  Chris is currently busy getting some crafty entries ready for our local show in Reeth.  This takes place on August Bank Holiday Monday – 29th – and is a really lovely traditional dales show only 6 miles from the site and well worth a visit.  You can get more details from their website:  http://www.reethshow.co.uk

Reeth Show

That’s all for now.  Please do let us know if you would like us to continue to keep you up to date with things here, your feedback is much appreciated.

The Grand Depart – WOW!

How to follow that!  What a weekend and showcase for Yorkshire.  We were up on the Cote de Grinton with the masses, a wonderful day and great atmosphere.

Now that all the pop up campsites have gone, why not come and stay here at Park Top Caravan and Camping and take in the bunting and yellow bikes whilst its a little quieter.

The Tour is coming!

le tourWith just under 3 weeks to go we are getting very excited here about the fabulous Tour De France coming to the area.

Here is Welcome to Yorkshire’s promotional video showing some of the great local areas through which it will pass.

We are only 6 miles from one of the best viewing points at Reeth and as roads will be closed in and around the area from very early on, you can stay here and cycle/walk without having to pay any additional car parking fees and after enjoying the spectacle and a bracing walk/ride home you could be sitting outside your tent/caravan with a nice glass of wine whilst others are still queing to leave the car park! Visit our tariff and availability page for more details.
